Thailand 2019

In April we took our School Leader and her husband on an outreach to Thailand! We spent time in three different locations. In the first two locations we were able to meet with leaders in Hua Hin and Bangkok and cultivate some new relationships while also visiting old friends.

Then in the north, we worked alongside our old ministry working with the people group who are so dear to our hearts. The amazing God-story in this is that we planned the trip without knowing that the ministry was also planning the very first Discipleship Training Week (DTW) for the teenagers who we used to work with and are very close with.

During the DTW we were able to teach different sessions and also do some staff development with our good friends and former teammates. It was such a joy to see years of working with these kids coming to fruition as they all expressed a desire to follow Jesus more and more. They face extreme family pressure, but all would like to accept Jesus – but currently aren’t quite ready. It was so encouraging to hear their desire to be discipled more and more even though they can’t make that decision to be Christians at this time in their lives.

I can’t express in a short blog the stories of how we saw God move in their lives, the lies that were broken off, and the hunger to wrestle with faith and the reality of Jesus. So please ask us about it more!!

We’re going back to Thailand in August!

Our entire SBS team is heading to Thailand this August for both missions training and outreach! Our goal is to serve alongside missionaries across Asia to mutually equip one another in Bible engagement strategy!

While we were in Bangkok in April we were dreaming with the Bangkok leadership team and this became a reality! We are trusting God for finances as Angel and I did not budget for two trips to Thailand in the same year. We need $3,000 for both of us to go! We are taking 23 of our co-workers from Montana with us! If you would like to partner to help us facilitate this trip please let us know or give online!
